Tales from the Bar. Patriots Playoff hopes Dim

Hope everyone had a Great last weekend of November. We got Sleet/rain/snow depending on where you live around Worceter Mass.
Fun stuff unless you were at the Patriots game cause I always say you don’t mind the Rain/cold/snow if your team is winning and Unlike Chargers fans Patriots fans actually show up for the games in bad weather. We ain’t no cheese and wine crowd like Mr Smokkee and Mrs Smokkee. I almost feel bad for Smokkee I mean it must be hard to come up with excuses for his miserable Chargers who fell to (4-8-0) yesterday after losing to the Falcons at home.
Too Bad the Patriots only played 30 minutes of Football. The Game was Tied 10-10 at the Half and looked like it was going to be a close game but then they Played the 2nd half and the Patriots Weak Secondary started to show up and the Steelers Defense which was #1 in the League pinned their ears back and Sacked Matt Cassell 5 times and stripped the ball twice.

4 straight turnovers isn’t going to get it done in the NFL thats for sure atleast there is a dome in Seattle so the weather shouldn’t be a factor.
Patriots 7-5, Chargers 4-8. Atleast the Patriots have a Valid excuse for the Off year Too bad Smokkee can’t say the same.
Yes the patriots probably won’t be making the playoffs since they would need to win out and that isn’t going to happen and even at 10-6 they are losing alot of Tie breakers so they will need to win the Division Out right and the Jets have a 1 game lead as of right now.
The Patriots have as close to a bye this week since they are Playing the Seattle Seahawks. So this Cool Guy will be Sad Next Sunday Nite and in case you missed it The Patriots v Seahawks game was moved from 8:15 to 4:15 by the NFL.
But at least I will get the Pleasure of TAUNTING Smokkee at all the blogger games and there is our Little Bet about which team would be better this year.
So anyway’s I bartend on the weekends and I usually get the service end and get to hear the stories from the waitresses and Had one tell me a doozy. Seems she was on a Blind Date and they had gotten their first drinks when the Prospective Male told her to drink it slow since it was the only one (1) he was buying for her with dinner.
The Best part is that when the Bill came he asked her if she could put the whole thing on her credit card and he would give her $10, Now the Total of the bill was well north of $10 bucks but Why if you were going to try and get out of Paying or getting Laid by said blind date would you not let her drink whatever said female wanted. Its not like you planned on Paying right?
Maybe it is because I was always A Gentleman since thats how I was raised but that takes balls in my book to limit the amount of alcohol then try and get the Lady to pay the tab for you. Man that is Priceless. “100 ways not to get laid.” I think I have the Title for the Book Now I only have to pick Waffles brain for more brilliant Ideas.
See you all tomorrow night at the Bodonkey on Bodog Poker at 9:05. I signed up last Thursday but ended up going out to see Quantum of Solace with my Brother J who was in town, the Movie was pretty entertaining even though I did not see Casino Royale. Daniel Craig does a Decent Job as 007 and I give Quantum of Solace TWO Aces up.
