The woman in the short film is Opal Dockery, a woman from Missouri who has spent many years in the sex industry. She was a single mom who raised two kids by working as a stripper, and her son Jack Truman became a filmmaker. The two worked together to create this short, as well as another short “The 60 Year Old Stripper,” both of which have successfully played the festival circuit. They have also been working on a feature length documentary, “The Old Stripper,” which involves a road trip.
